& its logo
My logo brings together the spire of Notre-Dame and the Eiffel Tower as two guardians of metamorphosis.
Paris, the City of Light that I deeply love, becomes the backdrop for an inner journey:
everyone's life is a stage, a patient work on oneself, a witness of force of transformation and resilience.
The spire of Notre-Dame, wounded by fire and then rebuilt, carries within it the symbolism of resurrection and hope.
The Eiffel Tower, originally meant to be temporary and ultimately preserved, rises towards the sky as a reminder that life has more imagination than we do.
Metam8rph8sis' logo is a hand-drawn calligram, written in Marie-Aude's own hand with the Latin motto of Paris, Fluctuat nec mergitur – “tossed by the waves but does not sink” – a tribute to resilience and the light that never sinks.
Together, they tell the temporal and spiritual dimension of our existence: what once seemed destined to disappear can transform, rise, and continue to shine.

In the word Metam8rph8sis, the two letters “o” are replaced by 8s: this is not just a graphic play, but a symbolic signature.
These two 8s evoke the two infinities at the heart of my work: the infinity of life and the infinity of love.
The number 8 is also a number of luck and wholeness.
In Asia, especially in Chinese tradition, it is associated with prosperity: its pronunciation is close to the word for wealth and success, and important events are often planned on dates containing the number 8.
In Christianity, 8 symbolizes resurrection and rebirth: it is linked to the “eighth day", the day of a new beginning as Christ resurrected on the 8th day following his entry into Jerusalem.
In numerology, 8 is the number of karma and balance between the material and the spiritual. Its shape echoes the infinity symbol, like a line that never really ends: a promise of eternity, harmony, and continuous transformation.
In my logo, these two 8s tell the story of life’s cycles, of rebirths, and of the quiet strength of love that keeps returning & transforming everything onto its path.

A few words about the creator of Metam8rph8sis ...
I hold a British PhD in Russian Literature & lived in Ukraine for several years.
I adapt documentaries & movies for the TV (specialised in subtitling).
I am an author & artist of connection : calligrapher, poet, painter, photographer, aspiring stand-up comedian and researcher – in short : a cosmopolitan life lover !
My doctoral thesis was devoted to dissident writers & political opponents held prisoners in Soviet camps (Gulag) & exploring how inner freedom can persist under various forms of oppression (physical, chemical, spiritual, etc).
My artistic work is the fruit of meaningful encounters – from Oxford and Cambridge to Kyiv, via Paris, London, Warsaw, the South of France and other places – and of singular experiences such as a coma and the Orange Revolution in Ukraine.
It is nourished by spirituality and by forgotten forms of resistance.
My artistic work offers words of love & encouragement born of compassion, tenderness and hope, in a spirit of freedom, resistance, quiet courage as well as sharing & solidarity.
Every letter, every fragrance, every stroke carries the energy of an invisible presence.
